Born in Saint-Etienne, Clara Védèche achieved her cello degree with Marianne Gaiffe and Pascal Jemain in her birth town, studying then in Lyon with Augustin Lefebvre. In 2020 she achieved her Master Soloist degree with Thomas Demenga at the Hochschule für Musik of Basel.

She attended courses with Peter Bruns at the Hochschule für Musik of Leipzig and took part at the masterclasses of Franz Helmerson at the Viva Cello Festival in Liestal (Switzerland), Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt at the Musique à Flaine (France) and of Steven Isserlis, Emmanuelle Bertrand, Nicolas Altstaedt and Claudio Pasceri.

In 2016 she got invited at the Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival in Lübeck. As a passionate music lover, she is also interested in other styles, as the jazz repertoire, and played with the ensemble Memento of Sebastian Studnitsky at the JazzBaltica Festival in Lübeck. In 2020 she got invited at the Piatigorsky Cello Festival in Los Angeles.

She regularly plays as soloist with the Telemann Orchestra in Saint-Etienne, with the Kammerorchester Basel for the first time in 2021 and as member of the Duo Demi, founded in 2016 with the pianist Fiore Favaro. Together they won the third prize at the Orpheus Competition in Switzerland. The duo will perform “Stillness in Disrepair”, piece written for them by Marcel Zaes, in world premiere at the Swiss Chamber Music Festival of Adelboden.

As chamber musician she often plays also with the Cello:fabrik quartet with Thomas Demenga, and the Nanos Trio with Eoin Ducrot and Lucia Mullor, with who she won the second prize at the Orpheus Competition in 2020.

In November 2019, she was admitted at the Postgraduate Specialist Course of the Accademia di Pinerolo, where she studied study with Misha Maisky, Miklos Perenyi, and Rohan de Saram.
